There was a possible Excel update this week (I didnt pay that much attention to what it was, and routinely install Mac updates without question).

Im not sure what that will tell you, but its something to try.

It turns out that the software version 11.6.1 that I think I installed this week had a flaw, and there was a newer 11.6.2.

For some reason, when I ask for a software update, my computer said I didnt need one from 11.6.1, but despite that, Microsoft had a even newer one available.

Everything works now, and even another complaint I had for many months was resolved with the 11.6.2.
